What it Takes to be Accredited
Personal Financial Network requires that all of its
counselors receive necessary training and certification in order
to assist our clients. You deserve to know that your counselor
is prepared to evaluate your situation so that you get the best
possible help available. Accreditation means that our
counselors have completed a rigorous training program that
includes direct observation, hours of practice and certification
programs. Counselors must document a minimum of 6 months of
related counseling experience before they may qualify for the
Accredited Credit Counselor certification. A minimum of 2 years
experience is required before a counselor can achieve Accredited
Financial Counselor status. Counselors must pass 2
standardized examinations that are administered by a local
college or university. At least 30 hours of continuing education
units (CEUs) must be submitted every 2 years to maintain the
certification. Accredited Financial Counselors at Personal
Financial Network go the extra mile by completing additional
training and certification so that we may address the many
financial needs of our clients.
All counselors at PFNI have received the highest levels of
training found at credit counseling agencies. You may
contact
one of our Accredited Financial Counselors to see how we may be
able to assist you. All of our counselors have achieved the
following designations:
- Accredited Credit Counselor
- Accredited Financial Counselor
- Certified Housing Counselor
- Reverse Mortgage Counseling Certification
- Certified Grant Specialist
- Certified Credit Report Reviewer
- Identity Theft Prevention Specialist
Our counselors have completed training programs offered by
the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education,
The Association of Housing Counselors, The National Grant
Writers Association and the Institute for Consumer Financial
Education. You can be assured that our counselors have the
comprehensive training and experience to help you evaluate and
improve your current financial situation.
